Welcome to our Serious Materials official feedback forum. We want to create a positive learning environment for the students in our classroom by keeping it quiet and controlling the temperature as naturally as possible. The classroom should be as eco-friendly as possible by using CFL light bulbs, insulation, and plants on the roof to keep the building cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The building should also be visually appealing by keeping the design simple yet modern.

Plastic Recycling Bins
I think that schools should get more recycling bins than just paper recycling bins.
Plastic recycling bins would be useful. -

All the classroom whiteboards would be more modern in technology.
In my vision, they would be touch screen smart boards. They would also have software based off of Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X Snow Leopard. This way teachers would be able to use the internet or pull up information to teach the students.

What I would Change
If I could change one thing in a normal classroom, I would try to make it more comfortable by the heating, seats, and light.

bigger desks or desks with a compartment
these kind of desks would help with organization as students will have more space to put their things for class

One should use dark backgrounds and light text instead of dark text on light colored backgrounds.

mixture of yellow white lighting better suited for learning/reading.
I don't understand why the lights at lecture halls and classrooms have to be so harsh and stark. And they don't take advantage of the sunlight streaming through the windows as a source either.

classroom layout
Usually the teacher is boxed into on side of the classroom and some students are neglected. Also the students seats should be rearranged so that each child gets an equal opportunity

More Doors
I would want more doors, so that if the teacher isnt very good, i can leave the classroom faster

circular seating arrangement
I think classrooms are more interactive with a circular seating arrangement. It allows student to see everyone, creating a more open environment.
